Comparative Study Of The International Competitiveness Of Aquatic Products

Agriculture, forestry and fishing is the basic industry of national economy in China.Fishing is an important part of industry. Now, China has become the world’s production power of aquatic products. The huge population, also makes Chinese aquatic products consumption power. China and Japan are closely related to the geographical location.They have similar kinds of aquatic products. In the past years, China and Japan established a deep trade links between aquatic products:Japan ranks first among the aquatic products import countries of China. Meanwhile, Japan has been China’s second largest exporter of aquatic products. Researching the change of production and sales of aquatic products between China and Japan during the last few years, comparing the international competitiveness of aquatic products between China and Japan, and analysing the exposed problems in Japan, is beneficial to learn from Japan’s experience in aquaculture development and to develop the appropriate export strategy. Learning from Japan’s experience in aquaculture development, helps bring up more conducive to probes into the optimization and upgrading of China’s fisheries industry structure,and improving international competitiveness of China’s aquaculture industry strategy formulation. Therefore, comparing the international competitiveness of aquatic products, has important theoretical significance and practical significance.This article altogether consists of six parts. The first part is the introduction of the paper. This part first elaborates the research background, research significance and purpose of topic selection, and on this basis, the relevant theoretical and empirical research literature at home and abroad were reviewed.Then, introduce the research contents of this paper and establish the research framework.. At the same time, this part gives the method used in the paper and the possible innovation. In addition, the source of data used in this paper is introduced in this part.The second part, the theoretical basis for the international competitiveness. This part expounds the theory of comparative advantage, factor endowment theory and national competitive advantage theory, These theories are the basis of this study, which provide theoretical support for further study. They provide theoretical basis and support for the research of this paper; The third part, analysis on the production and development of aquatic products in China and Japan.lt is the real evidence which the international competitiveness of aquatic products in China and Japan is compared based on. The fourth part, study international competitiveness of aquatic products between China and Japan and compare them with each other. This part based on the aquatic product data of China, Japan and the world from 2010 to 2014,uses the competitiveness index analysis, international market share index and revealed comparative advantage index to make a comparative study on Japan and China’s international competitiveness of aquatic products; The fifth part,comparative analysis on the case of aquatic products enterprises from China and Japan. To study and compare the competitiveness of aquatic products from the micro level,this section selects two representative aquatic products enterprises from each country. And find that the Japanese aquaculture enterprises pay more attention to science, technology and market; Based on the above research,the sixth part presents some useful proposals to the promotion of international competitiveness for Chinese aquatic products.
