Empirical Research On Industrial Agglomeration Effect In Beijing Airport Economic Zone

With the rapid development of the global air transport industry and its unique concentration and radiation functions to adjust the social structure of the city or region, the agglomeration effect of hub airports makes economic resource elements surround in airport areas and forms a unique phenomenon in its peripheral region:Airport Economic Zone. Domestic and international experts gradually summarize the phenomenon and make theoretic and empirical research deeply.This paper studies the airport economy from the perspective of industrial agglomeration effect and consists of five parts.The first part introduces the research background, significance and research status at home and abroad and describes the research content, framework and research methods.The second part introduces the connotation of airport economy, compares the economy concept about airport economy, makes the distinction between the concept of industrial agglomeration and industrial clusters and studies industrial classification and the mechanism and effect of industrial agglomeration.The third part introduces the history and development status of Beijing Airport Economic Zone and industrial agglomeration and use the LQ to estimate the situation of airport industry agglomeration.The fourth part uses the CES function to research the industrial agglomeration effect of Beijing Airport Economic Zone and the SPSS 17.0 software to estimate its the index of combined effect, which analyzes its trend of industrial agglomeration effect.The fifth part presents some policy recommendations to enhance the ability of industrial agglomeration in Beijing Airport Economic Zone further.
