| Energy is the basic material of human activities, and also it is an important basis for economic development. Currently with the continuous development of social progress, science and technology, energy consumption is also growing, Energy shortage, energy waste and the environment pollution brought by energy consumption are serious threat to human survival and development. So how to use the energy efficiently and sustainably has become an urgent problem for every country.For China, with a population of 1.3 billion, the problem of energy is more prominent. In all of the energy consumption, the industry is a major part, which accounts for about 70%. However, China’s industrial and technological foundation is poor, weak and start relatively late, so the technical strength is relatively weak. Although since the reform and opening up, China’s manufacturing industry has made rapid development. But compared with the developed countries in Europe and America, the overall level of China’s manufacturing industry is still a big gap. Especially in the discrete manufacturing industry, because of the non-continuity of the production process, the level of automation and information technology also the production efficiency is very low. Energy consumption per unit of output is also much higher than in developed countries.A enterprise is a world famous manufacturer of light source products, which belongs to the typical discrete manufacturing industry. During production process it will consumes a huge amount of electricity, water, natural gas and other resources. In order to reduce the energy consumption, A enterprise did many attempts and efforts in energy management, and some results have been achieved. In this paper, through the research and analysis of A enterprise’s energy information management system can not only enhance the level of A enterprise energy management, but also have very good reference for other similar industry and even the whole discrete manufacturing enterprises in China. |
