Today, power transmission and transformation companies in China are facing a more unpredictable and ever-changing marketplace than ever. To survive and develop in such a competitive environment, these companies are urged to try their best to improve cost management, increase management efficiency and benefit. Location of logistics distribution center in transmission line project is one of the problems that need to be solved urgently. In this thesis, we mainly discuss the issue of site selection for logistics distribution center in power transmission line project. Firstly, we introduce the basic concepts, classification, core function and site selection principles of distribution center. We also analyze requirements of distribution center and factors affecting site selection. Several common methods for site selection are introduced respectively, and we finally decide to apply a site selection modeling method for logistics distribution center of power transmission line project based on gray comprehensive evaluation method.During our research, we choose a specific power transmission line project as a case study. We analyze factors that affect site selection of logistics distribution center, and establish an evaluation index system according to its actual situation. After comparing five candidate sites by applying the gray comprehensive evaluation method, we get the optimal site suggestion. Compared with previous methods based on human experience, the method we proposed is more scientific and objective. In the final part of the paper, we summarize our research work and propose some future research directions.
