Research On Cross-regional Operation Strategy Of Rural Commercial Banks

In June 2008, the China Banking Regulatory Commission promulgated the (administrative licensing matters of rural small and medium-sized financial institutions implementation measures》 to encourage rural commercial banks to operate in cross-regional, which officially opened the curtain of rural commercial banks operating in cross-regional. From the view of practice of rural commercial banks’ operation in cross-regional, on the one hand, rural commercial banks implementing cross-regional business strategy do help spread the risk, expand the scale, create value; on the other hand, there are existing some rural commercial banks to blindly follow the trend, implement inefficient cross-regional management, lack of unclear location, deviate their commercial position and business purpose and business philosophy of "three agriculture", which increased rural commercial banks’business risk in adverse, is not conducive to the healthy and sustainable development of rural commercial banks. Based on this background, combining the theory and practice experience, using qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis and other methods to make research on related issues of rural commercial banks operation strategy in cross-regional.Firstly, this paper makes a brief overview on the research background, research significance and research contents and so on, then make a comprehensive analysis on the internal and external causes, the development status, the risk and the problems of rural commercial banks operating in cross-regional, and then on the basis of theoretical analysis on firm’s operation strategy makes the qualitative analysis on types and selection strategy of commercial banks operating in cross-regional and takes Changshu rural commercial bank as an example to make a specific analysis on selection, practice and performance of rural commercial banks operation strategy in cross-regional, finally, summarizes the conclusion and puts forward some measures and suggestions in order to help improve the management efficiency of rural commercial banks operating in cross-regional, improve the performance of rural commercial banks operation strategy in cross-regional, and improve the rural financial service quality.
