With the city commercial banks increasing strength,cross-regional business development become an unavoidable issue. A citycommercial bank (hereinafter referred to as X bank) strong comprehensivestrength, belong to the first tier city commercial banks in our country echelon.Since2007, X bank actively developing cross-regional business developmentstrategy, and successfully set up many branches. X bank branch ofachievements in other cities to spread the risk, improve profitability, etc., butalso exposed other towns Branches uneven development, lack of competitiveadvantage, risk management and control difficult, to form cross-regionalbusiness development constraints.In this paper, X bank trans-regional operation of the main line, usingtheoretical analysis and case analysis methods, described the status quo incross-regional business development on the basis of X bank, in terms ofmanagement, risk control, science and technology, and human resourcesacross analyzes the X Bank difficult regional operations, cross-regionalbusiness bank for X strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges of theSWOT analysis, and then focus on strategic development, governancestructure, the daily operation of the three levels of analysis of the various risksfaced by cross-regional operation and then from the build for cross-regionalbusiness risk control system and strengthen the management of various risks,foster risk management culture and other aspects of strengtheninginter-regional X bank operational risk management recommendations.This article focuses on the analysis of the risk of X bank cross-regional business faces. The difficulty lies in the analysis of cross-regional businesscity commercial banks affect the existing risk management system andrequirements, and make recommendations to improve risk management acrossthe region. The innovation of this paper is the development strategy, corporategovernance, the daily operation of the three levels to analyze the risks facedby the city commercial cross-regional operation, comprehensiveness andperspective, and less relevant in the existing literature, with some referencevalue.According to x bank cross regional business case, on the basis of anin-depth analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of cross regionalbusiness, the trans region management of city commercial banks should betreated differently, city commercial banks should according to oneselfcircumstance science reasonable development of trans regional developmentstrategy. This paper provides a reference for the cross regional riskmanagement of X bank and the whole city commercial bank, and has practicalsignificance for the inter regional management of city commercial banks.
