A Research On The Rural Social Relations Under The Background Of Tourism Development

In recent years, rural tourism as a new form of tourism has becoming a new anchor of rural development, highlights the strong vitality. The development of rural tourism forces the village to breakthrough the closed boundaries into a network of various social relations, then all kinds of tourism community issues emerge. To study the change of social relations in this rural tourism community is not only an important perspective to insight the the evolution of tourism developing community, but also an attempt to looking for a useful way towards more harmonious rural social relations.In this context, this paper takes a rural community (A village)’s tourism development as an example, focus on studying the present rural social-relations under the current tourism situation. On the bases on the theory of social change and the "acquaintance" and "strangers" society theory and by the method of case study (which is an useful method of the qualitative research), we carries out an field survey to make depth interviews and participating observation. By analyzing a series of material that from field survey and self-experiences and in the context of the broader social-cultural and microscopic course, this paper takes the "strangers" as a conceptual analysis tool, the evolution of social relations in the local tourism development village as a theme, deeply described the microscopic interaction between three major pairs of social actor:the developer and the villagers, the tourists and the villagers, the villagers and the villagers. Tourism development brings new social factors which put an effect on changing original social relations, but the later adjustment eases the tension, so, this paper discussed the current situation about present social relation in this village. The paper also analysis the characteristics of local social relations.The study found that unfamiliar tourism relationships, conflicting interests and cultural differences brought from tourism development indeed influenced the traditional local way of thinking and behavior, jointly promoted the evolution of the social relations of A Village.In this tourism-field, on the one hand, people independently formed a complex-ed social association in the frequent tourism exchanges in order to enhance the understanding and expand the modernization of modern knowledge, on the other hand, the traditional blood and geopolitical relations have not been marginalized, the traditional operation mode of social relations and ritual performances within different or new forms played their roles in the relation-development. Relationship development from the inner and outer directions, the one is subjected to external thrust of modernity and had to make a homeopathic change, the other one is the self-repair and show of the traditional social relations in the new era, two of them adapt to each other during the dynamic process, resulting in the formation of the unique structure of tourism social relations in A village...
