China launched the EMBA program for fourteen years since 2002,which has experienced rapid development. EMBA as a popular education program has been operated by more and more colleges and universities. The project is set up for the senior management people to upgrade their ability. It is based on commercial environment. Most of its students are business management elite. It aimed at cultivating the leadership talents with strategic decision-making capacity,ability to integrate resources and organizational leadership skills. Therefore, EMBA is an elite education program.With the development of the education market, the awareness of EMBA education program are constantly changing by the public. In addition to upgrading the level of management knowledge, many people give it a meaning of "circle". In China EMBA has become a symbol of identity and status, more and more people take the EMBA as a shortcut of entering the "circle" of the upper class of society. In this circle, everyone can quickly find an excellent man from the high-quality human resources and then become partners. "Circle culture" has become a major feature of the EMBA market in China, which has gradually deviated from the essence of education. If we want the EMBA program have long-term development, we must take some actions to make it back to the essence of education.The research on the EMBA program is relatively less both in domestic and foreign. The majority view is presented in various media and newspapers. Most research scholars have focused on the improvement and innovation of teaching experience and teaching mode aspect. There is no depth analysis on the waste of educational resources of EMBA program. This paper will give a description of the contest theory, containing the studying object, basic factors and the standard way of equilibrium analysis. This article focuses on the circle feature of the EMBA, and links the EMBA education project with the competition of entering the "circle", In this contest, the reward of the winner is the sum of all earnings that entering the circle can bring. Participants should make efforts to win the contest and become a member of the EMBA program. This paper analyses the behavior of investment EMBA program in depth, and regards it as a contest of entering the "circle" of the upper class of society. This article explains the reasons for the popularity of EMBA program from the perspective of competition theory, and uses the mathematical model to analyze specific competition mechanisms. If we enlarge the value of the "circle", it will bring some negative effects to the society in a certain degree. Finally, some suggestions are put forward to make the EMBA project return to the essence of education.The main content of this paper and the structure arrangement is as follows:(1) This part is introduction section. It introduces the EMBA actual situation and the background of the EMBA has become a "circle" of the rich. (2) Theoretical studies. Analyzing the research review of EMBA and the overview of the contest theory. (3) Model analysis of EMBA contest. This part focuses on the circle feature of the EMBA, and links the EMBA education project with the competition of circle, then uses the mathematical model to analyze specific competition mechanisms. (4) Analysis of negative effects brought by the EMBA circle contest. As follows:low attendance and the serious trend of entertainment are wasting the educational resources; if allowed officials read EMBA, corruption is easy to be caused; some colleges deliberately create an atmosphere of "circle". These social phenomena above will affect the social atmosphere and hinder the healthy development of society. (5) Conclusions and policy recommendations. Some suggestions for avoiding the negative effects are put forward to make the EMBA project return to the essence of education.
