Although the development of shareholding commercial banks is relatively short, especially in the policy support environment, the overall size of the assets and other aspects, but in recent years, with a more flexible system, higher asset quality, a lighter historical burden, more and more recognized by the market, becoming an important balance force. On the basis of reading a lot of documents, the paper analyzes the development status of stock commercial banks and the operational efficiency of stock commercial banks, and puts forward the strategies and suggestions to promote the development of joint-stock commercial banks, including:establishing effective supervision mechanism of joint-stock commercial banks, increasing the risk of joint-stock commercial banks, developing intermediary business, promoting financial innovation, improving asset allocation ratio, and improving corporate governance structure, and to improve the corporate governance structure, to make clear market position and to implement differentiation strategy.
