The concept of time competition is introduced into the model of supply chain management plan in response to rush orders due to changes of demand. Under the pullmarket demand, competition between order-oriented manufacturing enterprises is not only confined to the traditional factors such as the quality of products and the price. The factor of time has become priority conditions for customers of urgent orders to choose enterprises. Therefore, enterprises pay more and more attention to the processing of emergency orders which have strict deadline. Whether receiving these emergency orders and how to take measures to deal with them after making receiving decisions, from which we can find enterprises’ overall management level.Traditional ways for enterprises to cope with urgent orders are mainly high inventory, unplanned order inserting, delaying tactics and emergency procurement, etc. But this vulgar operation brings enterprises consequences such as unreasonable resource configuration, seriously waste and low efficiency, etc. Enterprises who undertake the high market risk alone may not develop healthily in the market environment. In view of the above phenomenon, the lean thinking is applied to this paper, which disperses the risk of a single enterprise dealing with the emergency orders to each node enterprise of the whole network in the supply chain, making full use of the network resources in the supply chain system. This paper combines the operation of strategic and tactical layer, using the method of supply chain scheduling to deal with rush orders. This idea is an extended application of production scheduling in the supply chain. Supply chain scheduling, a combination of supply chain coordination, production scheduling and supply chain management, uses the essence of them and integrates the traditional ways to deal with emergency orders such as order inserting, delay delivery, etc. This helps to achieve the goal of using small cost to get high benefit in response to users’ demand.Based on the existing literature at home and abroad about the response to rush orders and supply chain scheduling, this paper makes a further study on supply chain scheduling under the circumstances of rush orders. According to the logical order, the main body part adopts two-stage method to design the supply chain scheduling model. Firstly, the first stage makes a model making decisions about whether to receive rush orders, considering the goal of maximum profits rush orders bring and procurement cost, with the constraints of supplier’s delivery time and production capacity. At the same time this stage distributes the tasks among the enterprises in the same layer of the net supply chain, which belongs to the strategy-layer scheduling. Then, at the second stage, node enterprises of different levels reach a consensus that they can accomplish the common goal of small cost to get the most gain only when they have a close cooperation, which shows that the supply chain is an integral system. Through connecting supply scheduling with production schduling, the goal of costing small to meet the urgent task is achieved. In the end, an example with the genetic algorithm based on the Matlab platform and differential evolution algorithm is used respectively in the two phrases, the results show that, to a certain extent, the supply chain scheduling in response to rush orders, improves the economic efficiency of enterprises, not only a single node enterprise, but also the whole supply chain, promoting the rational flow of social resources, thus optimizing the allocation of resources in the whole society.
