Machinery Manufacturing Industry is the industrial sector that manufactureing mechanical products. Machinery Manufacturing Industry is the heart of Manufacturing industry, which provides technology and equipment for agricultural, transportation, defense, etc.To some extent, it can be considered as the basis of all sectors of the economy. Therefore, self-sufficiency level of the machine manufacturing industry is a symbol of a country’s economic, scientific and technological development level.Under the circunstancs of open and fierce competition, quality has become the foundation of an organization’s survival and development, especially for manufacturing enterprises. This study is based on the Machinery Manufacturing Industry, through literature review, corporate interviews, questionnaire survey, case studies to systematically study the impacts Quality Management Practice factors (senior leadership commitment, organization for quality, employee relations, customer focus, supplier management, process management, product design and information measurement & analysis) on organizational performance and the relationship among these factors. The conclusions are showed as below.1. The quality management practices factors can be categorised into core factors (process management, product design and information measurement & analysis) and basic factors (senior leadership commitment, quality organization, employee relations, customer focus, supplier management). Through regression analysis, we found Basic Factors have a positive influence on performance as well as the core factors. Meanwhile, compared to core factors, basic factors have a better explanation and prediction effect on Organizational Performance.2. Core factors play an intermediary role between Basic factors and organizational performance. Core quality management practices have full mediation between Quality Organization and organizational performance, as well as between customer focus and organizational performance. Between other Basic factors and performance, it plays a partial mediation.3. Causal relationships also lie among Basic factors themselves and Core factors themselves. For example, senior leadership commitment has direct effect on Quality organization, Employee relations, and Customer focus. Quality organization has direct effect on direct effect on Employee relations, Customer focus and supplier management. In the context of Machinery Manufacturing Industry, we also believe Customer focus also affects supplier management. Among Core factors, Informatioan measurement & analysis affects peocess management and product design separately, also product design has a causal relation to process management.4. We finally got a main path from Management factors (senior leadership commitment) to Organizational factors (Quality organization) to Stakeholder relationships (employees, customers and supplier) to Quality Management Core Practices (process management, product design, information measurement and analysis), and lead to organizational performance in the end.
