Research And Analysis Of Trade Between China And New Zealand, Thailand And Vietnam Machinery And Transportation Equipment Industry

In recent years,with rapid economic development,China has become the second largest economy in the world.ASEAN(the Association of Southeast Asian Nations)have also achieved steady economic growth.After the establishment of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area,the bilateral trade volume has also increased rapidly.In the bilateral trade products,manufactured goods has become the main product of bilateral trade and the trade volume reached more than seventy percent of the total bilateral trade volume,while machinery and transport equipment industry products accounted for the highest proportion of trade in the industrial manufactured goods,which become the most products in trade volume between ASEAN and China.Intra industry trade is the focus of theoretical research and cutting-edge issues of international trade industry in recent years,and its appearance gives a good explanation of the practical problems in the current international trade industry.Chinese and ASEAN intra industry trade are mostly concentrated in the whole ASEAN and agricultural products,to which studying a particular industry industrial manufactured goods is relatively small for the domestic scholars.So selecting Singapore,Thailand,Vietnam,the three representative countries from the ASEAN,this paper analyzes the Machinery and transport equipment industry trade among China,Singapore,Thailand and Vietnam from the perspective of empirical research.In this paper,the G-L index is used to calculate the total of machinery and transport equipment industry products and all kinds of intra industry trade index of China,Singapore,Thailand and Vietnam.The results show that China,Singapore and Thailand have higher level of intra industry trade in machinery and transportation equipment,while China and Thailand have a low level of intra industry trade,but the trend is increasing.Specific to the various types,China and Singapore,Thailand,Vietnam in the industry presents an imbalance.After the three national machinery and transport equipment industry to measure,this paper selects the relevant data of 1996-2015,the per capita income difference,the level of economic development,the number of population and geographical factors,foreign direct investment,market size,openness and other aspects and analyzes the influence factors of Singapore,Thailand,Vietnam and China Machinery and transport equipment industry.Then,based on the analysis of the regression results,we give some policy recommendations.
