As a special group in the banking system, city commercial bank in the local financial stake has a 30% stake of rigid standards at the beginning of its establishment early, however after shareholding reform, local governments actual intervention of city commercial bank does not reduce. In recent years, although the development of city commercial Banks speed faster, but there is a certain gap compared with the large commercial Banks, city commercial banks unreasonable ownership structure is one of the main factors restricting the effectiveness of corporate governance, thereby affecting the city commercial banks to improve business performance. Therefore, The city commercial bank ownership structure’s impact on business performance would have great significance from the perspective of corporate governance, it not only enriches the content of academic research in the field of corporate governance of city commercial banks, but also provides some suggestions to improve the city commercial banks business performance, so as to promote the sound development of city commercial banks.First of all, this paper studies the management of the corporation and commercial banks by doing Literature research, followed by giving a brief review of the development of the city commercial banks. After that there come the theoretical analyses about the effect that the ownership structure has on the availability of the corporate governance, particularly in the city commercial banks. The data from the year 2010 to the year 2014 of 40 city commercial banks are collected to be used in the empirical analysis, by taking advantage of the descriptive statistics method and the multivariate regression method. The results show that the proportion of the city commercial bank’s largest shareholder ownership and top ten shareholders ownership respectively has inverted u-shaped relationship with ROE, Z index has a negative correlation relationship with ROE, ownership type and ROE is not relevant. According to the above analysis provide some Suggestions for the future development of city commercial Banks, to improve the business performance of city commercial Banks.
