Study On The Policy Of Promoting The Competitiveness Of Tea Industry In Wuyishan

Over the past decade, a series of policy has been promulgated by the State Ministry of Agriculture, and the relevant departments on different levels of government, including Fujian, Nanping, and Wuyishan, industrial policy has been playing an important and supportive role in the development of Wuyishan’s tea industry. Thanks to the support from government and relevant parties, the industry is now an important pillar industry in Wuyishan. To review existing policy, to effectively adjust and improve it according to latest developments, to bring competitiveness of Wuyishan’s tea industry to a higher level, is the origin and purpose of government policy-making in the near future. By resorting to literature research, qualitative and quantitative analysis, inductive analysis method, this paper is having a study on Wuyishan’s tea industrial policy. Meanwhile, we also refer to successful experiences and method have been proved to be effective at home and abroad, and stands on current circumstance of Wuyishan’s tea industry, it is able to provide suggestions and solutions to Wuyishan’s tea industrial policy, all in an effort to serve the fundamental purpose of promoting the tea industry competitiveness.This paper has 4 sections as following:First, it discuses its own topic context, purpose, value, methodology, innovation, and deficiency.Second, it explains relevant economics theories, and, by focusing on the object of this paper, Wuyishan tea industrial policy, it analyses the policy feature, mechanism and effectiveness, and then identifies relevant factors that influences policy of Wuyishan tea industry.Third, based on a comprehensive understanding towards current status of Wuyishan tea industry, and summaries strength and weakness that Wuyishan tea industry currently has, as well as opportunity and challenges it faces by conducting analysis. It also by studying the effectiveness of industrial policy on industry competitiveness, this paper reviews the efficiency of many industrial policies, learns from successful experience, spots issues and problems, and conducts analysis on failed policy, it manages to identify the direction for further policy improvement. It provides references to policy maker also by analyzing experience gained from and lesson learnt by others in and out of China.Last, its summarizes the first 3 sections, and especially based on research on current industrial policy of Wuyishan and other places at home and aboard, it provides suggestions for tea industrial policy that aims to promote competitiveness of Wuyishan tea industry.
