Production logistics cost-down plays an important role in the process of enterprise cost reduction, the main reason is that production logistic is an important part of the machinery manufacturing enterprise logistics. To optimize production material system can not only improve the efficiency of the production logistics, but also can reduce the logistics cost.Mechanical manufacturing enterprises implement the typical discrete production mode. Their productions are assembled by several machine elements according to certain technical requirements. The assembly process requires strict time limit and involves numerous type of materials. Then stable and effective material system becomes an important guarantee of normal production operation. In this paper, we take machinery manufacturing enterprise X company for example, to analyze the optimization for key issues of its material system and provide some feasible optimization schemes for these problems.Firstly, production material delivery problem is studied in this paper, which giving the calculation method of the material requirement lists according to its production plan. In order to solve the problem of material accumulation in the staging area beside the workbench, it puts forward the idea of pushing materials at different time and establishes material delivery mathematical programming model in the paper. The purpose of material distribution optimization model is to work out a optimum plan for material distribution. To verify the validity of the model through a calculation example at the end of this research problem.Then optimize the layout of the raw material supply warehouse and material storage location. To make certain adjustments for the warehouse’s layout as a whole on the basis of the operation requirements of forklift truck. Design corresponding layout optimization figure for three kinds of alternative forklifts respectively on the premise of forklift’s configuration is not determined. Then choose one among the three. Give specific storage shelves location for six types of materials respectively according to their outbound quantity frequency and their required number of store location. Then take terminal and sheath materials for example, determine the specific location of their each small class by making the ABC location analysis table of their outbound quantity and correlation analysis table.Finally, study the problem of the selection of forklift truck. Forklift picks materials at different time corresponding to material delivery schemes. Based on the character of the same interval for material delivery, to work out the related efficiency targets through the D/M/1 queuing system and select the most appropriate configuration by comparing these efficiency targets. Build the model of the process of material sorting by using flexsim software in order to prove the validity of the option.
