As the Chinese government gradually liberalized the control of electric power, the first private power company appeared in Shenzhen, since then, more and more private power companies have sprung up in China’s economic market, occupying the vital position. Due to these companies, however, are small in size, lacking of insufficient funds, and having other defects, these enterprises have gradually exposed many problems in management, especially in performance evaluation and incentive mechanism. This paper selects T company as a representative to study the status of its performance evaluation and incentive mechanism and existing problems, then improve it, to provide reference for other private power company, when they design performance evaluation and incentive mechanism.This paper was separated into six chapters, The introduction as the first chapter, mainly discussed the background, the significance, ideas, research means and innovations of this paper, and reviewed the domestic and external literatures. The second chapter mainly defines the concepts of performance evaluation and incentive mechanism, makes a certain description of the relationship between the two, and introduces the relevant theories to provide support for this paper. The third chapter is characteristic of private power companies’ performance evaluation and incentive mechanism analysis. First general characteristics of private power industry are summarized, and then the characteristics of human resources management in private power companies are studied. Finally, the characteristics of the performance evaluation system and incentive mechanism in the private electric power enterprises are discussed. The fourth chapter choose T Corp. as an example, analyzes the situation of T’s performance evaluation and incentive mechanism, the issues, and the causes. In the later chapter, according to the question raised in the previous section, respectively, to re-build T’s performance evaluation system and incentive mechanism reconstruction,in order to solve the existing problems in T’s performance evaluation and incentive mechanism. The last chapter summarizes the entire paper, the corresponding epilog is proposed, and some advices on the private power construction enterprise performance evaluation and incentive mechanism are put forward.This article mainly uses means of combining literature research and case research. One is the general research literature related principles to construct the performance evaluation and incentive mechanism and the way of construction at home and abroad. In the case analysis, using the method of field research as the same time, to the company staff issued a questionnaire, field survey to obtain data, found that the problem of T’s related mechanisms and to correct. Finally come to the conclusion: the enterprise size is too small should not be a reason to set performance evaluation and incentive mechanism, any enterprise should be designed to improve the performance evaluation and incentive mechanism to carry out the management.
