Risk Prevention Research On International Engineering Constructing Project

Since the beginning of the reform and opening, the Chinese international project contractors have made great progress in the market. Nowadays, the international project contracting has become not only the new growth point of China’s foreign trade, but the key point of China’s foreign investment. Facing the international project contracting market full of opportunities and challenges, the Chinese international project contractors should have the ability to find risk and make decisions quickly as well as pay attention to risk prevention work. Basing on the full study of relevant literature, this paper takes the company DJ’s electric power construction EPC project in India for example according to the characteristics of the Chinese international project contractors themselves, then analyzes the types of its project risk as well as its risk management experiences and lessons deeply, at last summarizes a set of risk prevention measures against Chinese international project contractors.In this paper, the risk theory of international engineering contracting project has been carrying on the system combing at first, and the management pattern, risk categories and management process have been analyzed synthetically. The risk management of international engineering contracting includes risk identification, assessment and response. Within this framework, this article combines with the actual case, and analyzes the risk identification and response of the project in detail. The external risk of the project includes political risk, economic risk, legal risk, social and cultural risk, environment risk, etc. The internal risk of it includes technology risk, contract risk, financial risk, management risk, etc. Then, this paper analyzes the project risk response experiences from the aspect of contract training, risk control, cost control, emergency treatment and legal security as well as the project risk response lessons from the aspect of prior research, contract management, cost management, subcontract management and claim management. At last, this paper puts forward the risk guard suggestion of international engineering contracting project in five aspects, including selecting strategy of target market, building risk management system, strengthening risk internal control, establishing risk emergency mechanism and using risk aversion means, with the aim of giving experience learning to Chines international project contractors which are "going out".
