Study On Overseas EPC Engineering Construction Project Risk Management-IEC Of CR18G As Study Case

As the policy efforts of the‘Go Outside'strategy our country had carried out strengthened and the comprehensive capability of our engineering construction enterprises enhanced,the vitality of these Chinese enterprises in the international engineering construction market has been accelerated step by step.And more and more of them have developed engineering contracting overseas.EPC which gathers engineering,procurement and construction becomes one of the main stream models in current engineering contraction gradually.As the new pattern EPC which is uncertified and complicated breaks though the previous simple engineering field,and our enterprises can't take efficient manners to prevent risk for their imperfect risk management,so the running results of our overseas EPC projects are unable to reach the expectation even suffer a deficit when facing the multivariate global economic circumstance and the fierce overseas projects market competition.This thesis takes the case of International Engineering Company of China Railway 18 Bureau Group Ltd.,Co's(?????or IEC for short)for example for further discussion and research of the overseas EPC engineering construction project risk management.Firstly, this thesis gives an overall view of the relevant concepts of international project risks and the risk identification of the EPC projects abroad to analysis the status with bringing in the cooperation-competition theory creatively. Secondly, by using SWOT method, it compares the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of IEC to summarize its risks though a large number of cases. Thirdly, this dissertation discusses the inspiration of the architecture enterprises at home and abroad by adopting the method of case analysis, and draws up IEC's general risk management strategy of the overseas EPC projects. Finally, it gives the conclusion of the key points and ensures measures of IEC's overseas EPC projects risk management.Overall, this thesis proposes accurate contraction the core strategy and general strategy of IEC based on successful cases of EPC projects which implemented cooperation-competition strategy both here and abroad. On the basis of taking all the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges into account, to seize the main line of enhancing the foundation; making breakthrough and keeping increasing, IEC was required to take measures of business contraction, construction-in-process, cost-control and team building while pay attention to basic criterion, contract implement and risk prevention.
