Our government has set up four Free Trade Zones to develop free trade which are Shanghai, Guangdong, Fujian and Tianjin, and it is close to the trend of economic globalization. Building a comprehensive Free Trade Zone is an important measure to further deepen the reform, to build a new open economic system, but also an important means to participate in international relations, to achieve foreign strategic goals.In the establishment and development of Chinese Free Trade Zone, the government plays an important role. The government not only decides the establishment of a Free Trade Zone, but also manages it after the completion of the Free Trade Zone. However, the government cannot manage over in the development of a Free Trade Zone. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the governmental management of the Free Trade Zone. It’s the exploration not only of the new path and model of opening up, but also of the transformation of the governmental function.The government manages the Free Trade Zone mainly in organizational management, investment management, financial management and business management. Since the short history of the establishment of our Free Trade Zones, there still exit some problems for the management of Free Trade Zones. But with the constant exploration and innovation, we still achieve so much. In addition to the achievements, we should see the shortcomings of the governmental managements, such as the lack of unified management law of Free Trade Zone, etc. For the lacks, it needs constant improvement and correction.
