The Study On Industial Agglomeration And Its Influencing Factors Of Manufacturing Industry In Chongqing City

Industrial agglomeration is a kind of similar enterprises in the area of the pursuit of external economies of scale,which is a kind of performance of industrial optimization.At present,the industrial agglomeration has become an important force to promote China’s economic development, such as the Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta,has led to the rapid development of urban and regional economy.Chongqing as the economic center in the western region,the bridgehead of the western development,in recent years,the economic develop rapidly,while the manufacturing sector plays a pivotal role in the economic development,in 2014,Chongqing’s industrial added value accounted for the proportion of GDP was 36.29%,as the main industrial manufacturing,the output contribution rate accounted for 92.61% of the city’s share of industry,agglomeration of manufacturing industry has been initially formed,but there is still a certain gap compared with the developed coastal areas,for example,industry agglomeration is not much,agglomeration effect is not strong and geographic distribution is not balanced.Therefore,it is very necessary to study the factors that affect the industrial agglomeration of manufacturing industry in Chongqing city.In this paper,making Chongqing City’s 29 two digit manufacturing industry from 2000 to2014 as the research object,using location quotient as a measure of main indicators of the level of industrial agglomeration,geographic concentration index,spatial Gini coefficient,eg index as the index verification,research the Chongqing City manufacture industry agglomeration status.On this basis,the multiple linear regression model was constructed to explore the related factors that influence the industrial agglomeration of manufacturing industry in Chongqing City,and then put forward the countermeasures and suggestions to promote the industrial agglomeration of manufacturing industry in Chongqing city from the perspective of influencing factors.The main conclusions of the study include:first,the overall industrial agglomeration effect of Chongqing manufacturing industry is not obvious,theoutput is maintained at the national average level,and the industry advantage is not prominent.In 29 manufacturing industry segments,there are four industry having obvious industrial agglomeration,respectively for tobacco industry,non metallic mineral products industry,the transportation equipment manufacturing industry, instrumentation and culture,office machinery manufacturing industry;second,from the result of regression analysis shows that,the city field demand,labor cost,investment environment,traffic conditions,supporting services,degree of opening to the outside world,urbanization level,scale economy,policy oriented have effect on Chongqing city agglomeration of manufacturing industry significantly.These conclusions can provide a reference for the study of Chongqing manufacturing industry agglomeration level,but also provide some theoretical guidance for enhancing the competitiveness of manufacturing industry in Chongqing city.
