Research On Evaluation Of Operation Efficiency Of China Large Airport With Improved DEA Model

In order to adapt to the rapid development of China civil aviation, large airports in China constantly build facilities to expand operation scale and continually explore advanced management measures to raise operation efficiency. But problems of insufficient use of airport facilities and lower management level are still existed, which results in relative low operation efficiency of most large airports. So, research on effective evaluation method to comprehensively and objectively evaluate the actual operation condition of China large airports is of practical significance for enhancing operation efficiency of large airport.According to laws and characteristics of large airport operation in our country, referencing from the research achievements of other scholars, this paper establish the evaluation index system and employ the improved DEA model to evaluate operation efficiency of nine large airports in China from 2007 to 2014. The contents are as follows: Firstly, this paper analyzes background and purpose of the research topic and makes the technical route of research; Secondly, related research status at home and abroad of the research topic are analyzed from two aspects, evaluating operation efficiency of airport with DEA model and the improved DEA model. Thirdly, concepts of airport operation efficiency are clearly defined; the basic principle of DEA model and its advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. Fourthly, on the basis of the theory of DEA model, the DEA model is preliminarily improved and, combining with the characteristics of the super efficiency DEA model, the final improved model is eventually realized; Fifthly, the operation efficiency of nine major large airports in our country are evaluated with the improved DEA model, the operation condition of large airports are comprehensively analyzed from the horizontal and vertical aspects, and problems of operation efficiency existing in large airports of China are pointed out; Sixthly, the corresponding improvement strategies and suggestions for existing problems of operation efficiency in China large airports are put forward.
