Study On Yunnan International Logistics Development From The Perspective Of Trade

Yunnan international logistics plays an important role in promoting Yunnan-ASEAN trade. Since China-ASEAN negotiation updated and the protocol was signed, the trade relationship between China and ASEAN has been increasingly closer, which sets up new requirements to international logistics industry. However, the international logistic of Yunnan is still weak now. Therefore it is necessary to speed up the construction of international logistics infrastructures in Yunnan Province. The index that the World Bank used to evaluate the level of logistics development in different countries is named LPI, which includes six components:(1) The efficiency of customs and border clearance. (2) The quality of trade and transport infrastructure. (3) The ease of arranging competitively priced shipments. (4) The competence and quality of logistics services-trucking, forwarding, and customs brokerage. (5) The ability to track and trace consignments. (6)The frequency with which shipments reach consignees within scheduled or expected delivery times. These six indexes reflect the level of logistics development of all countries uniformly, making a significant reference for international logistics researches,This article analyzes the international logistics industry in Yunnan province from the perspective of Yunnan-ASEAN trade. First, study the network topology and forward planning of transportation channel in Yunnan, analyzing its effects on Yunnan-ASEAN trade. And other influential factors are also listed. Second, set up the gravity model of Yunnan-ASEAN trade, calculating six regressive models based on LPI indexes respectively and finding out the impacts of these six indexes on Yunnan-ASEAN trade. According to the results, the priority of the construction of international logistics in Yunnan Province has been positioned. Finally, this paper offers several proposals to accelerate the construction of Yunnan’s international logistics.
