Nowadays, domestic survey design companies are moving toward the world, to undertake foreign large engineering work, such as design, supervision. Project management culture as the key of the survey design company, can significantly improve enterprise management efficiency and the competitive advantage in the industry at home and abroad, then help enterprises to achieve maximum benefit. The purpose of this paper is through the theoretical analysis to build the theoretical model of survey design companies’ project culture characteristics, to provide practical suggestions and methods for domestic survey design companies.Through the literature, this paper build a preliminary theoretical model of survey design companies’ project culture characteristics. From concern two aspects of the internal and external, the model is divided into two levels:Project Team Culture Level (Goal-oriented, Cooperation-orientation, and Flexible-orientation);and Project Support Cultural Level (High-level-support, Party-support and Function-support).According to the theoretical model, set up the targeted questionnaire.Then used SPSS to analysis the collected data,and the results show that the factor synthesis named exactly the same as the theoretical analysis, and the factors are basically consistent, the theoretical model have been demonstrate. On this basis, through analysis the mean of the model theory and the factor weights, found that, Flexible-orientation is the most important factor in Project Team Culture Level; and, Project Support Cultural Level have the support of the senior leader and function. Therefore, the current survey design companies need to strengthen the flexibility of the project team,raise the importance of the project to get leadership support, and continue to deepen the functional departments of the project service support.In conclusion, this paper build a model of survey design companies’ project culture characteristics. Most of these enterprises can draw lessons from this model, then increase the strength of service for Project Support Cultural and keep the importance for Project Team Culture and, to promote the benign operation of the project.
