Land consolidation is an important measure to achieve dynamic equilibrium of arable land. Land consolidation can increase the amount of arable land and improve the quality of arable land. The number of arable land before and after the land consolidation is easy to measure, but there is no uniform method to measure the change of arable land quality before and after the land consolidation. Combining with agricultural land classification database and GIS spatial analysis methods, this paper will propose an evaluation system which can reflect the impacts on arable land quality caused by the land consolidation. The rank of every arable land before and after the land consolidation will be calculated, which can provide some references for the scientific evaluation of the land consolidation impacts on the quality of arable land. This paper is divided into six chapters:Chapter one. Introduction. Firstly the paper describes the background and significance of this research, then it introduces the objectives and contents, next it presents the research design and methods, and lastly the paper concludes the innovation of this research.Chapter two.Concept introduction and literature review. This section describes relevant concepts of the agricultural land consolidation and the quality of arable land. In addition, it summarizes the related studies about the impacts of agricultural land consolidation on the quality of arable land, the quality evaluation of arable land and the quality evaluation of arable land before and after the land consolidation.Chapter three.Analysis on the impacts of land consolidation project on the quality of arable land. This section discusses the specific contents and requirements of Land readjustment works, irrigation and drainage works, field road works and farmland protection works. The corresponding impacts of them on the quality of arable land are also discussed in detail in this section. All of those will lay the foundation for the establishment of quality evaluation system of arable land before and after the land consolidation.Chapter four. Construction of quality evaluation system of arable land before and after the agricultural land consolidation. In this section, firstly the paper discusses the methods of quality evaluation of arable land before and after the agricultural land consolidation, and then proposes the idea of making use of Delphi method to determine the index weight.Chapter five.Comparative analysis on the cases of quality evaluation of arable land before and after the agricultural land consolidation. Firstly, the paper describes the basic situation of this project, and then determines the arable land quality evaluation index and weight in the project, next combines with GIS spatial analysis methods and classification database to determine the index score, and then calculates the ranks of each land lot both before and after the land consolidation. Finally, the paper makes a comparative analysis on the before-and-after ranks of arable land in the project.Chapter six. Conclusion and discussion. In this section, the paper summarizes the theoretical and technological achievements of the quality evaluation of arable land before and after the land consolidation. At the same time, it analyzes the problems in this research, and presents several ideas and suggestions to improve the quality evaluation of arable land before and after the agricultural land consolidation.
