Comparative Analysis Of Productive Efficiency Between Alfalfa And Sweet Sorghum

With the acceleration of animal husbandry, selecting low-cost, high-yield and good-quality of herbage and forage crops has a great significance for animal husbandry and agriculture development. First of all, based on the analysis of the characteristics and industrial development of alfalfa and sweet sorghum, proceeding from the natural climate characteristics and the present situation of forage farming,drawing on the successful experience and technology of planting alfalfa and sweet sorghum at home and abroad, this paper points out the importance of local development of forage farming industry. Secondly, this paper is designed to select farmers as samples with same agricultural acreage of 1h ㎡, same cultivated land quality, same management and same costs and select Mu NO.1, a variety of alfalfa,and BJ0603, a variety of sweet sorghum used as fodder, and analyzes the cost of planting alfalfa and sweet sorghum by contrasting the cost of seeds, water and fertilizers on per unit of land. It concludes that the benefit of planting sweet sorghum is higher than alfalfa. On the basis of comprehensive analysis, it proposes suggestions on the industrialization of sweet sorghum and agricultural sustainable development as decision-making references for Wuwei City.
