Study On Sweet Potato Production And Comparative Advantages In Hebei Province

Sweet potato is an important potato crop,which has the characteristics of both food and cash crops,and has the characteristics of super high yield,strong adaptability and easy to restore growth.Sweet potato is widely planted all over the world.China is country of sweet potato production,the sown area and yield of sweet potato rank first in the world.With the deepening of poverty alleviation work,some areas of Hebei Province rely on sweet potato industry to overcome poverty and achieve remarkable results,drive local farmers to increase income,and focus on promoting the process of accurate poverty alleviation.Therefore,under the new strategic opportunity,it is of great guiding significance to analyze the present situation of sweet potato production in Hebei Province,to deeply discuss the impact on the cost and benefit of sweet potato,and to systematically analyze the comparative advantages of sweet potato production in Hebei Province,which is of great guiding significance to promote the development of sweet potato production in Hebei Province.This paper comprehensively combs the present situation of sweet potato production in Hebei Province from the aspects of production scale,regional layout and management main body.Based on the theory of absolute advantage,the cost-benefit analysis of sweet potato in Hebei Province was carried out from the aspects of varieties,crops,management subjects and so on.Based on the theory of comparative advantage,this paper compares and analyzes the comparative advantage of sweet potato production in Hebei Province from the aspects of country,province and city by using scale efficiency index analysis.Through the research and analysis,the following conclusions are drawn:First,the sown area and yield of sweet potato in Hebei Province decreased from 2000 to 2014,and increased year by year from 2014 to 2016.Second,the level of sweet potato yield increased in Hebei Province in 2014,and decreased year by year from 2014 to 2016.Third,the net income per mu of sweet potato in Hebei Province is about 2675 yuan,and the cost rate of return can reach 136.66%,which is much higher than 7.56% of wheat,-0.3% of corn and 162.59% of potato.Fourth,the income difference among sweet potato operators in Hebei Province is obvious.The rate of return on sweet potato production cost of agricultural enterprises is the highest,followed by family farms,professional cooperatives,and the lowest rate of return on the cost of large growers.Fifth,the comparative advantage of sweet potato production in Hebei Province is at a disadvantage.The scale advantage of sweet potato production in Hebei Province ranks 17 th in the country,the efficiency advantage ranks 12 th in the country,and the comprehensive advantage ranks 14 th in the country.Sixth,there are obvious differences in sweet potato production among cities in Hebei Province,such as Qinhuangdao,Baoding,Shijiazhuang,Tangshan,Cangzhou and Langfang.Finally,combined with the analysis conclusions,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions: first,strengthen the policy support and guidance;second,scientifically plan the production layout;third,strengthen the new management main body;fourth,improve the socialized service system.
