The relationship between Iran and China has begun from the mid-second century BC, and has maintained their friendly relations till now. With the continuous development of bilateral relations, trade between China and Iran has been also increasing, which is oil and gas and other energy resource-based trades. Trans-Eurasia Silk Road and the South China Sea to the Persian Gulf sea routes also contributed to the relationship between China and Iran, and made them getting closer. Meanwhile, China and Iran are facing the major task of economic development and opening policies regarded as an important means of achieving economic modernization. The rapid development of Chinese economy, made a big impact on Chinese demand for oil and natural gas resources increase, while China’s domestic reserves are insufficient to meet their needs, at the same time, Iran has plenty of oil and gas reserves, and therefore, China formed an important partnership with Iran. USA and EU had forced economic sanctions against Iran, although it had some influences the development and exploration of oilfields investment between China and Iran, but still there are some problems, so that the cooperation encountered some difficulties.Oil imports security is an important matter of oil security, economic security, political security and strategic issues. Iran is the world’s one of largest oil producers; therefore maintaining good oil trade is great significance for China’s oil security part. As China is largest foreign exchange reserves, coupled with great potential in Iranian oil investment environment, bilateral cooperation in oil investment will not only promote the development of Iran’s oil industry, it will promote the development of Iran’s national economy, but also for Chinese enterprises to provide investment opportunities, and more It is important to provide a strong guarantee for China’s oil security.This paper focuses on analyzing the current situation in Iran-China oil trade and investment qualitative. First, by studying oil trade between China and Iran, then Iranian oil industry and trade situation, then China’s oil trade with Iran situation and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of this oil trade. Then from Iranian oil investment point of view, the current situation of China on Iranian oil investment in oil cooperation barriers and risk analysis. Finally, based on the above analysis, this paper is giving away some recommendations and proposed the corresponding countermeasures regarding to the development of China-Iran oil trade and investment.
