With the fast-speed economy development in China, the industrial gas market has attracted a lot of gas companies and the industrial gas industries are facing a great opportunity and challenge. As the representative private company Y, it’s necessary to implement an effective competition strategy in order to eliminate the external competition threat and keep a long-term competitive advantage in Sichuan market. The selected topic of the dissertation has a practical significance.The dissertation firstly has described the development of Industrial gas market and some related market policies. what’s more, based on the market situation of supply exceeding demand in Sichuan、the fierce competition、the equipments in Sichuan、the reserve capacity、the single customer industry and the weak executive capacity of sales team, the competition strategy and measures have been put forward for company Y with SWOT analysis. At last, in order to ensure the competitive advantage in Sichuan for company Y, some strategies should be implemented, such as reducing production cost and establishing technological sales team.The conclusion is useful for similar enterprises in strategy management.
