| ESAB China, as a branch of ESAB Groups, is facing many challenges which impacts the survival: the slow growing capability of ESAB Groups, the market performance of ESAB China is far below the performance in other countries, the whole depression of the heavy industry, the reorganization hazard from the acquisition by Colfax in 2012. All these factors bring ESAB China great impact. And at the same time, Lean has been introduced into ESAB for several years, but didn’t contribute to the ESAB operational improvement as much as expected.This thesis starts from the viewpoint of setting lean strategy as one of the adding power of ESAB China’s operation strategy, analyzed the inner and outer issues of ESAB China, together with opportunities. Also summarized the lessons learned from the operation experience and the lean experience, this investigation revised the lean strategy of ESAB China, and setup the more effective way for lean strategy to promote the operations of ESAB China.The lean strategy of ESAB China, starts from the promotion of ESAB operational targets, adopts suitable means and tools to promote the short team operations optimization and outputs. And also focus on the capability increasing on ongoing long term development and improvement, such as further effectiveness of strategy deployment, focusing on people so that the organization could have the continuous improvement capability and power through the developing of individual’s capability, understanding the core of changing and getting changed so as to find a way out of the current hazard and obtain the long term growing capability at the same time.This thesis invests the opportunity and feasible way for lean to promote enterprise operation strategy, could be the practice of extending lean out of the manufacturing area, and also could be the practice of finding way out of hazard from lean point of view on ESAB. |
