Research Of Software Localization Strategy With CMMI For A Company

With the continuous development of economic globalization and the deepening of China’s reform and opening up policy, more and more multinational IT companies enter China’s market. These companies want to succeed in China’s market, the localization of their products is one of the important and required steps. With the advancement of science and technology and the emergence of various software products, the requirements for software localization are increasing, thus contributing to the rapid development of Chinese localization industry.In the development of the past ten years for the localization industry, A company is continually improving, and gradually growing from a software localization department a of a multinational IT company to a independent outsourcer. A company has maitained the perfect performance for several years. However, with the increasing maturity of the localization industry and market competition intense, many competitors have rapid progress too, and thus some of the problems of the A company is reflected which has existed for a long time. Therefore, A company needs to find the cause of these problems, implement new policy, correct the problems, and improve the quality of the company’s services. The first, based on the A’s organizational structure, business processes and departmental management, I would study the software localization implement of the A company,and analyze the problems of A Company which are currently existed in the software localization process, and then give the the strategy design of the software localization based on the CMMI model and introduce the scientific localization project management theory and methods to improve the quality of the software localization projects. The second, I would develop the relevant business management policies to ensure the implementation of the software localization strategy. Finally, I would concludes the findings of the study and describe prospects of software localization project management.Beginning with the analysis the software localization project management, this paper studies the systematic management of the software localization base on the CMMI model to improve the quality of software localization projects, aiming at the promotion of the company’s development in the software localization industry. Results of this study would give a certain reference and significance on the software localization industry,and also give some suggestions for A company to make management decisions on theoretical basis.
