Under the financial new normal, the accelerating development of rate liberalization,financial market opening to both inside and outside, internet finance and enterprise financing disintermediation is challenging commercial banks’ development in our country since 2009 till now. As the proportion of bank lending to social financing scale goes down every year and bank financing cost obviously goes up, the commercial banks income increases slowly, which makes the profit that is dependent on rate income difficult to keep on. The ratio of non-interest income on sales income has been staying on a low leverage in our country. It is in recent years that some banks have breakthrough on this ratio to 20%, while western countries’ banks have already reached a general level of 40%-50%, even some to 70%. It surveys that there is space to make great progress on development of non-interest income business for our countries’ commercial banks. Thus, developing actively non-interest income business becomes a necessary path to the improvement of commercial banks’ competitive competencies.To develop non-interest income business, it should be clear firstly that what factors affect the development of non-interest income and that whether those factors make influence differently as commercial banks pay more attention to non-interest income; and then this paper will conclude new suggestions about path choices for non-interest income development.With these questions, this paper collects the data of 15 listed China commercial banks from the year of financial crisis to 2013 as sample, on basis of defining non-interest income and analyzing the development level, studies the effects of asset scale, conventional profitability,cost input, risk control and depositor resource on non-interest income, and makes comparison with results of existing researches. This study finds that the ways that some factors influence have changed, thereby provides new thoughts to path choices for non-interest income development.
