With the development of society and the reformation of Institutional Organization’s system,the outdated project team of geological exploration unit has been unable to meet the needs of the development of geological exploration units under the new situation. Especially in team performance management, it has not established a reasonable performance index system and science evaluation model to measure the performance of the geological survey team, then carry out relevant targeted measures. With the deepening of the classification reformation of geological exploration units, the problem of performance management of geological exploration units’ project team will be closely watched.In recent years, many experts and scholars begin to pay close attention to the management of geological exploration units, but most study concentrates on countermeasures about the development of geological exploration units. The performance management of geological exploration project team is little. Scholars believe that the balanced scorecard(BSC) is a comprehensive organization performance management method, can from a financial、customer、process、 learning and growth four Angle to look at his own performance. In this paper, from the four dimensions of BSC, using literature study and expert interview method, author builds a set of performance index system according to the characteristics of the geological exploration project team. And using the analytic hierarchy process(AHP) to the whole system of index to carry on the assignment, the maximum of the eight key indicators weight. Again using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to Mei Feng Shan project team has carried on the empirical research, first of all, based on the constructed a set of index system of expert evaluation is analyzed, especially the eight key indicators of grade set, and then based on the eight key indicators score set membership degree calculation, to obtain the maximum membership degree of level and the performance of the whole project team membership level.On the basis of quantitative analysis, we get the eight key indicators determining the performance of the project team, the maximum membership degree of the project results conforming the requirements belongs to the "good" rating, to need maintaining. The maximum membership degree of Project achievement’s value and team technology are both located in the "general" rank, need to strengthen. And work enthusiasm、 team atmosphere、project communications、key member of stability、project cost control are located in the levels of "bad", needs to be improved. Next the reasons on the five aspects of the project team are analyzed, then put forward pertinently the following suggestions : to establish the concept of humanistic incentive mechanism, to arouse fully the enthusiasm of staff; Create a good team atmosphere, to enhance the sense of belonging of project members; Perfect communication and feedback channels, enhance its role in facilitating communication; Deepening the geological exploration unit enterprise system, to strengthen the prospecting cost management; Updating performance management idea, to establish scientific evaluation system and other measures. To points out the key of “Mei Feng Shan” project team and other geological exploration project team performance management. And then to provides some references for the development of geological exploration units.
