P2P online lending, as an emerging internet-based financial product, has become the popular investment favored by the majority of investors. However, since P2 P online credit takes Internet as the basis, in reality, both lenders and borrowers are exposed to risks caused by asymmetric information, which results in that some investors take some irrational actions in investments. However, these irrational behaviors are extremely unfavorable for investors. Therefore, a set of investment strategies are established to regulate investment behaviors. This paper, with investment behaviorism as the theoretical fundamentals, analyzes P2 P investors’ irrational behaviors. It carries out case studies on two specific bids and finds that with the premise of asymmetric information, P2 P investors demonstrate significant "herding effect" and excessive speculation. After questionnaires, the paper analyzes four aspects, i.e., investors, proportion of investment, risk control preference and evaluation on P2P’s future. Based on crosstabulation, it explores the impacts of profession, income, age and sex on revenue and risk decision-making and finally concludes with main influencing factors of P2 P investment: platform or third-party guarantee, high credit level, high credit rating, high income and long hours of operation. On the basis of previous analysis, the paper gives corresponding suggestions from two aspects, namely, P2 P investors and P2 P surveillance. While stressing improving individual’s investment skills, it proposes three P2 P online credit investment strategies: portfolio investment, diversified investment and dispersion timeline-based investment. For P2 P surveillance, it puts forward three suggestions: firstly, guidelines of regulatory information disclosure; secondly, establishment of complete credit system and thirdly, formulation of the industry’s self-regulation standards.
