Empirical Analysis Of Cassava Competitiveness And Agribusiness Development Of China、Thailand、Viet Nam And Indonesia

This paper chooses Thailand、Viet Nam、 Indonesia and China, the world’s main cassava countries as research objects, analyzes both the cassava trade competitiveness and the cassava industrialization, selects the data from 2000-2013 of the four countries to make empirical analysis. Results show that : in terms of the market share index, RCA index and CA index, Thailand is better than Viet Nam、Indonesia and China. And the Double Diamond Model analysis shows that although China cassava industry trade is less competitive, but it is not an absolute disadvantage, the four countries have their own advantages and disadvantages of cassava-exporting in the domestic diamond model and international diamond model framework. In terms of industrialization of cassava, this paper analyzes the four countries’ cassava planting area, yield and present situation of industrialization development; builds a system of agriculture industrialization level, from the aspects of agricultural scale, agricultural modernization, agricultural capitalization, agriculture marketing and agricultural production efficiency. The results shows that the industrialization of cassava has significant influence on its trade competitiveness, and China’s contribution is less than the other three countries.
