Research On The Analysis And Evaluation Of Effective Competition In The Regional Construction Industry

In the new economic normal, the construction industry that depends on the national fixed asset investment-led and developed fast goes into the era of single-digit growth now, resulting in more fierce competition and lacking of effective competition in the construction market. The difference of development of the construction industries from different areas is great. Effective competition has been the most reasonable competition state since construction industry brought in the competition mechanism. Therefore, the research on the effective competitiveness in construction industry can provide reference for the solution of the problems in construction industry.Firstly, this paper based on the effective competition theory and combined with the technical and economic characteristics of the construction primitively explores the connotation of construction’s effective competition. Secondly, according to the evaluation standard and determinants model of industry’s effective competition,combined with the means of construction’s effective competition, though Delphi method, the paper builds the evaluation indicator system of construction effective competition which contains market structure, corporation behavior and market performance, concluding eleven indexes. The evaluation model of construction’s effective competition is chosen by the comparison of methods of industry’s competition evaluation. Thirdly, the paper uses the system, which is mentioned above, to analyze the competition state from the two aspects of market structure and corporation behavior statically, and then it also analyzes the construction competition condition in the matter of market performance dynamically by the model of GRA-DEA. According to the analysis above, the paper makes a qualitative judgment for the situation of constructioncompetition and finds the advantages and disadvantages of realizing every region’s construction’s effective competition. Then, it makes a quantitative analysis for the state of 2000-2014 fifteen years’ construction effective competition by PCA(principal component analysis) and tests the result of previous qualitative analysis. Finally,according the drawback in the evaluation of construction effective competition and the difference of the regions, combined with the main factors affecting its effective competition, the paper proposes some suggestion for promoting the improvement from the view of the integration and the regions.
