Research On PFEP-oriented Material Replenishment Strategy In W Company

In a production-oriented enterprise, the essential goal of lean production is to discover, reduce and even eventually eliminate the wastes through the processes which could be in materials, processes, time, and etc. The material replenishment in lean production requires the materials available at the right time, in the right quantity, and on the right place. To achieve this goal, an enterprise is requested to systematically manage the material replenishment, based upon the actual situation of the material demand and supply, as well as the types and characteristics of the materials.With this guidance, the thesis is written to develop a PFEP-oriented material replenishment strategy for the HeFei site of WLS group based on its factual situation. In line with the operational goals of the site such as service level, DOS target, and based upon the ABC type, COV value of each material, as well as the supplying lead-time, the PFEP-oriented material replenishment is developed to determine an appropriate approach of material replenishment for each material. The thesis also describes the specific steps of implementing the PFEP-oriented material replenishment.
