The concept of parametric design is proposed and studied in the late 80’s of the last century. Parametric design experience from 2D drawing to 3D modeling, in further connect with enterprises‘ system, to complete data flow from sales to design to manufacture. In recent years, parametric design has been popularized in the field of manufacturing and construction in our country. More and more enterprises adopt this method to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the design, reduce the labor intensity of the technical personnel and improve the competitiveness of enterprises.With the demand for customized is increasing, the demand for parametric design is also increasingly strong. The elevator is a kind of product with high demand for customized. With the increasingly fierce competition in the elevator industry, the parametric design system can improve the accuracy and efficiency of the design, improve the competitiveness of enterprises and employee satisfaction.In this paper, the relevant technical data of parametric design, as the basis of the research, the methods and tools of data analysis, analysis, DFMEA, PFMEA, Quality housing, CPM, engineering economics, project management and so on. Through investigation of the national planning, G company planning, the other enterprises, analysis of the G company information system and the status of the contract design, so as to demonstrate the necessity of the implementation of the project. Analyze and demonstrate the project progress and control, quality management, financial and risk of the project. This paper presents the feasibility and the conclusion of EDS.In the end of this paper, we conclude that the EDS is necessary for the implement in t he G company, and the project is feasible. After the successful implementation of the project, there are significant economic benefits, and will greatly improve the response speed of the contract design, shorten the design cycle, improve the design time rate and accuracy. Parametric design concept is not limited to a certain industry, a company, in other industries, other companies will have similar needs and applications, such as customized furniture, custom steel structure, customized bearings and so on related products. Parametric design is very important for social and economic production, the parametric design will play a more important role. In this paper, the research of parametric design is not deep enough, but I hope that can helps the other.
