The Research On Wuxi City State-owned Commercial Banks’ Public Service

With the constant social development, people’s life concept, living style and pace of life have experienced earth-shaking changes gradually. Similarly, in some field,many changes are taking place quietly, such as the transformation of public functions of the state-owned commercial bank to be discussed in the paper. In this fast-paced society, part of the state-owned banks have been gradually cast off the original roles,along with the gradual change of original intention of establishing banks and the business pattern. Especially for some state-owned commercial banks, they appear in the public with the identity of enterprise. In solving problems, they have weakened the role of public interests, while gradually focused on the economic interests of the enterprises. Moreover, they have ignored their original functions and highlighted the market competition, so as to pursue the maximum benefits and guarantee its favorable development. According to the practical situation, state-owned commercial banks pay more and more attention to their own interests, and ignore the social as well as national interests. What is more, some state-owned commercial banks only concentrate on their own development, even at the cost of destroying the public interests and disrupting the market order. In the paper, state-owned commercial bank in Wuxi is taken as an example to investigate the entire public functions performed by the current state-owned commercial banks.The context of this thesis is: first, the background, purpose and significance of selecting this topic are explained briefly, and the relevant examples in domestic and foreign literature and real life are proved. The second, through the public nature of the shares of state-owned joint-stock banks, the function of the public, the environment of the public to prove the state-owned joint-stock banks with public functions. Through to small and medium enterprises in Wuxi, a state-owned joint-stock bank of questionnaire investigation to reveal the financing difficulties of small and medium-sized enterprises, financing expensive, state-owned joint-stock bank loanthreshold high, highlighting the lack of state-owned joint-stock commercial bank, a part of public management. Through analysis for the state-owned joint-stock commercial bank monopoly position to obtain excess profit and social responsibility consciousness is not strong and public problems, and find out the effective reflected public way of state-owned joint-stock banks and puts forward corresponding suggestions.
