With the development and popularization of information construction and GIS technology,WebGIS services are also integrated into all aspects of public life,people cannot do without various online maps duiing their daily life.Current online maps such as Baidu Maps and AutoNavi not only provide various types of basic geographic data but also provides a variety of map browsing,analysis and other functionsIn response to the call of the national informationization and digitization management.The requirement of data management and information release of all organs is also raised to a new level.These organs have a large number of thematic data which are urgent to release to the public with the help of WebGIS technology.But is limited to the great expense and basic map data collection problems of traditional WebGIS construction work.Public oriented geographic information publishing platform construction work has not found a better solution.The online maps provide massive map data sources and powerfull map tools,and the cloud storage service to a certain extent can meet the needs of some units.But there are issues that user’ s sensitive data need to be upload to map vendor servers and the data tables of complex associations can not be expressed well.According to the particular problems above,this paper put forward a new approach for the development of public geographic information platform construction based on the latest Microsoft’ s rapid develop framework LightSwitch and Baidu maps API,which realize the data storage management and thematic geographic data release and online display.This solution is relatively simple and inexpensive that can meet the needs of public thematic geographic data online publication for enterprises and government agencies.
