China's special geographical location and complex geological environment, made geological disasters is a serious threat to people's production and life. Geological disaster prevention and control has become one of the important constraints of China's economic construction and sustainable development. Investigation of geological disasters is the basis of geological disaster prevention work, and also is the main means and ways of prevention and mitigation. Geological disasters often occur in the form of landslide, collapse, debris flow, etc., because of its sudden and frequent characteristics, a serious threat to people's lives and property safety, social and economic sustainable development. Geological disasters are usually not a single occurrence of secondary disasters, the threat of a large chain, which is the phenomenon of widespread. Therefore, how to achieve the geological disaster investigation of efficiently and in real time, to find out the geological disaster reasons, danger and distribution can not only reduce the risk of secondary disasters, to reduce loss of life and property of people can also provide a favorable decision support for the production of other production departments of government.This paper aiming at the current situation of China Geological Survey Technical means, Geological survey of Embedded GIS system is designed in reading extensive literature, which associated with the geological survey, and based on a careful research and analysis on geological survey staff daily work requirements and technical specifications of geological survey. This system integrates 3S technology and can provides the service that, quick storage the geological survey of attribute information, and quick displaying of geological survey map, geological survey map rendering, management of geological survey results, navigation and track record, map measured tool. Finally, the paper realizes the paperless work of geological survey work, and the development of geological survey work is more convenient, efficient and standard.The system using UML(Unified Modeling Language) is designed, using the java objectoriented language and embedded GIS technology, based on the Android platform, using SQLite and ShapeFile respectively storing attribute data and spatial data, better realized expected goal.
