The coastal zone is becoming increasingly important to the development of society and economy. In the face of the massive increase of coastal data resources, it is urgent to strengthen the management of the relevant data. In this paper, based on the analysis of the present integrated management situation of coastal zone at home and abroad, mainly focus on the study of coastal zone's spatio-temporal data management and the construction of its information platform.During the process of studying coastal zone's spatio-temporal information platform technology, the following aspects are studied:The research construction based on the conceptual model and logical model of object-oriented coastal zone's spatio-temporal objects. Through the analysis of coastal zone's data characteristics, do the research of building spatial-temporal object concept model and logical expression model, which unifies expression of spatio-temporal data and dynamic data.,based on the discussion of existed spatial-temporal data models'advantages and disadvantages.To study and design the temporal and spatial data structure of the coastal zone. In view of the traditional data structure have many problems in network client, such as redundancy and complex problems in data transmission and analytical and so on. Depending on those problems,according the object-oriented designing ideas, the spatio-temporal data organization structure (TGeoJson) be designed. TGeoJson have many advantages, for example: it not only can adapt to the expression of spatio-temporal's feature information, satisfying the needs about the transmission of network and the visualization of data, but also is beneficial to the management and maintenance of object-oriented data as well as the construction of the index that based on location factors.To research and design the coastal space time data visualization and expression method, there are many works need to do. Based on analyzing the methods of general data visualization, discusses the visualization methods about the data in spatial-temporal process, and puts forward the new visual design idea and scheme. Through the design and construct the.dynamic visualization expression methods of spatio-temporal- oriented,solve for the needs of expression as a result of coastal zone's dynamic changes that caused by the changes of coastal zone's spatial-temporal data construction or spatial-temporal's objects like time, space and attribute.In this paper, through solving key technology to study the construction of coastal zone spatial-temporal information platform. This article analyses platform's construction process is from the acquisition and processing of spatio-temporal data to the organization and scheduling of spatio-temporal data and then to the information visualization and analysing application of spatio-temporal data.Coastal zone's spatial-temporal information platform adopts the designing scheme of five-layer architecture, including data resources layer,data management layer, service logic layer, function module layer, user management and security service system, then to construct the spatial-temporal database design of coastal zone based on the coastal zone's data source, characteristics, types and so on. At the end, based on the foregoing works, do the technology analysis and prototype verification for the platform's five functional modules, including spatio-temporal data organization and storage module, spatio-temporal data management and scheduling module, regional details level spatio-temporal data module, the spatio-temporal data information visualization module, spatio-temporal data analysis application module.
