Coastal Zone Map Management Information System Design And Implementation

No matter to military struggle or to economy, coastal zone plays a very important strategic role. Setting up a coastal map manage information system (CMMIS) can manage and use coastal map data scientifically and usefully, thus it can provide better service for military and economic construction.To reach the aim of coastal zone data's scientifically management and application. The thesis brought forward a project by taking powerful Oracle 9.2 as DBMS, in addition to using Spatial option managing spatial data specially to realize the database management and application of spatial data. Practice has proved that the project was useful.The main contents of the thesis are as follows:1. Designing and setting up coastal map database.2. Designing coastal map symbol database and realizing coastal terrain map data visualization.3. Interconverting coordinate systems, altitude datum and projection systems.4. Showing grid data and vector data repeatedly.5. Showing and analyzing 3D of coastal zone.6. Seamless join of spatial data.7. Querying the coastal zone map data.The thesis has three characters that realizing structural storage spatial data, seamless join of spatial data and designing coastal zone topographic map symbol database according to the coastal zone topographic map standard of newest.
