This article relies on the project support of "KIMPE copper and cobalt deposit geological exploration in Katanga province,D.R.Congo".On the basis of summarizing and analyzing a large number of predecessors' existing data,the metallogenic geological structure of the deposit is studied in detail.The characteristics of the trace elements,quartz mineral inclusions,sulfur isotopes,silicate oxygen isotopes and hydrogen isotopes,which are closely related to mineralization,are analyzed and compared,identified the geological characteristics of the deposit,discussed the genesis of the deposit and the achievements are following as below:The KIMPE copper-cobalt Deposit is located in the southeastern part of the Katanga arc-shaped copper-cobalt metallogenic belt.The Katanga metamorphic belt is a north-convex Pan-African orogenic belt composed of the Neoproterozoic metamorphic metamorphic sedimentary rocks,Part of the eastern section of the Lufilian arc structure.The orebody is mainly found in the middle of the Roan group(R2.2)sandy dolomite and tectonic breccia,and a small amount is in the fissures of the carbonaceous slate.The main structure of the mine is KIMPE fault,which controls the spatial location of the deposit and the distribution of the copper and cobalt belt.The internal structure of the copper-cobalt belt is composed of sandy dolomite,breccia and carbonaceous slate,and the alteration of the surrounding rock to silicification is most closely related to the mineralization of copper and cobalt.The ore minerals of copper and cobalt ore are mainly malachite,porphyry copper,chalcocite,chalcopyrite,sulfur cobalt ore,sulfur copper and cobalt ore,pyrite and so on.The gangue minerals are mainly quartz and white clouds Stone,talc,sericite and so on.The ore is dominated by its granular structure,including structure,granular structure,metasomatic dissolution structure and bifurcation structure.It is mainly composed of brecciated,disseminated and massive.The natural type of ore is mainly metal sulfide type,secondary for the oxidation of copper and cobalt ore,Ore industry type is dolomite type copper and cobalt ore.According to the relationship of metallogenic geology,the copper-cobalt deposit is divided into three stages: sedimentary stage,hydrothermal transformation stage and epistatic enrichment stage.The mineralization is mainly hydrothermal filling,and Roan(R)is the initial source layer,which is formed between 880 Ma and 750 Ma.The metamorphism of the Lufilian movement during the later period was hydrothermal transformation of the deposit,resulting in superposition and local enrichment of copper and cobalt mineralization.The abundant rainfall,the fault and the broken zone have good water permeability,suitable temperature and huge time span,which makes the secondary oxidation of the deposit strong.The type of deposit belongs to the sedimentary-hydrothermal transformation with the formation and fault.These achievements and understanding have important guiding significance for the prospecting and prediction of copper and cobalt deposits in the Katanga area,and have a new enlightenment for the prospecting and prospecting of copper and cobalt ores in other areas.
