The Heihe River Basin is the second largest inland river in China,located at the northwest arid areas of China.The mid-reach of the Heihe River Basin,which is irrigating agriculture oasis in Zhangye city of Gansu province,has existed the groundwater utility conflicts between the need of economy development and ecological maintenance since ancient times.In recent years,the development of irrigation agriculture in irrigations of the middle reaches has aggravate the inhomogeneity of space distribution of the groundwater depth,in especial the over-pump phenomenon in Luotuocheng Irrigation has been severe,which has make the ecological environment worse in the Heihe River Basin,it is urgently needed of scientific and reasonable management of groundwater resources.what is the import measures of the effective management of groundwater in irrigations of inland river basin is managing the groundwater data and modeling groundwater.The building of the groundwater simulation platform can integrate the data management and simulation of groundwater,which is significant for the management of groundwater resource in arid regions.With the development of geographic information technology and network technique,it is now possible to have the data management and numeric simulation of groundwater based on WebGIS.The MODFLOW model has been applied widely,foreign has realized groundwater simulation desktop software such as Processing MODFLOW,Arc Hydro Groundwater combined GIS and MODFLOW,but there is less study on the integration of MODFLOW and WebGIS.In view of the above,the study has designed and implemented groundwater modeling platform appropriate for the Luotuocheng Irrigation in the mid-reach of Heihe River Basin based on open source WebGIS technology,three-layer architecture and object-oriented method,and implemented database-side,server-side and client-side.In the database side,according to the nature of groundwater data in irrigations,we simplified the Observation Data Model(ODM)designed by Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science Inc(CUAHSI),then designed the geographic data model using object-oriented method,at last built the groundwater database suit for the research region by realizing in the open source object-relational database PostgreSQL/PostGIS,which realized the union of the integration of observation data and geographic data,and the solving of the problem of inconformity of multi-source heterogeneous data,in the server side,based on the design method of object oriented program,the study combined the open source GIS server Geoserver and the web server IIS to design and implement the demand processing of geographic data,observation data and the groundwater modeling and link the groundwater data and groundwater model MODFLOW,which have accomplished the publishing and sharing of observation data,geographic data and the online groundwater modeling,in the client side,we combined the open source map framework Open Layers,the open source visualization framework Echarts and the open source Javascript framework JQuery to realize various visual representation of groundwater data and modeling results and implement the interaction between client and server.In conclusion,the study has implement the real-time monitoring of simulation and management system for groundwater exploitation,whose three-tier architecture and the object-oriented design mode guarantee the high maintainability,reusability,expandability,flexibility which a web application should have.The integration between PostgreSQL/PostGIS,Geoserver and groundwater data enhances the accessibility and sharing of groundwater and lays the foundation of the implemetion of groundwater modeling platform,the integration of groundwater modeling model with object-orient method and Open Layers provides the fast and effective platform of groundwater accessing and groundwater modeling decision,that promotes the development of groundwater informatization and is benefit for the development and spreading of the groundwater simulation and evaluation work,realizes the sustainable utilization and effective management of groundwater resources in irrigations of inland river basin.
