| Due to the relatively complex physical analysis and psychoacoustics experiments, the research on the distance of the sound source is lagging behind, and some of the sound source distance on the scientific issues still to be studied. And adding the sound source distance filtering effect to the virtual reproduction will make the virtual auditory reality more realistic. Therefore, the study of the perception of the distance of the sound source is important and significant.Sound source distance perception is affected by loudness variation, individual binaural cue, environmental reflection, frequency spectrum, etc. In the free field and near field, the binaural cue and the loudness cue are most important for distance perception. In the far field, where the binaural factors are weak, studies have shown that reflection is conducive to enhancing the distance perception. Therefore, this article will be from the near field and far field two aspects to quantitatively analyze the impact of different factors on the distance perception. As the near-field HRTF measurement is difficult,currently,near-field HRTF measurement for human subjects has not been reported by other research groups in the world. And there is no paper about the different effect of the distance perception between the individual HRTF and non-individual HRTF,so as different frequency bands under the individual HRTF and non-individual HRTF.This paper uses the individual HRTF and the non-individual HRTF to carry out the psychoacoustic distance localization experiment. The experimental signals are classified into three bands of 0.05~0.75 kHz,2.77~5.84 kHz and 0~20.0 kHz,respectively, which purpose is to analyze the contribution of the distance perception of three frequency bands. When the near field source of the azimuth angle is 90°(facing the right ear),the experimental results show that the individual factors have little effect on the perception of the sound source distance, but the effect of the loudness factor is obvious. When the sound source distance is less than 0.5 m,the binaural factors that contain low frequency information are particularly important for the perception of the sound source distance. The existing research of the reflection of the sound is complex, usually all the reflections in the room are taken into account. This paper will simplify the reflection of the sound,to study whether it can significantly improve the sound source distance perception effect. In the practical application of virtual auditory reproduction,if the simplified reflection sound is proved, the related research results will be used as the basis of the simplified filter, which is good for the practical application. In order to analyze the influence of the reflected sound on the distance perception,a simple model combined by the rigid ball head and the rigid wall is used in this paper. And the contribution of the early reflection of the sound source is further confirmed by the sound source distance experiment. The results show that the lateral early reflection does improve the correct rate of the relative distance judgment of sound sources, which can improve from 48% to 78%,and it provides the basis for the study of sound source distance. |
