Gold is an important rare metal, which mainly exists in gold-containing deposits in natural world.Content and occurrence state(gold's phase analysis)analysis of gold in different deposits are the preconditions of gold mining and comprehensive utilization, which have important practical significance and are better for guiding melting and extracting process of gold. The full text was divided into the following five parts:Chapter one briefly introduced the meaning of phase analysis, and then focused on the review of the research status and application. Also, application and existing problem of modern precision instrument in the past decades were discussed in detail.Chapter two included gold mineral sample collection, rock ore appraisal and total gold content analysis.metallurgical microscopes and polarizing microscopes were used to screen collected gold mine,by which the constituent and occurrence state were studied.Gold contents of various gold ores were analyzed, which confirmed the phase composition and constant, micro scale and trace elements. It is indicated that Si,Mg,Fe,S,Pb,Zn are main elements in gold ore.Gold is mainly distributed in quartz, galena, iron pyrite, metal sulfide, sphalerite, etc. The effects of particle size of gold ore on analysis of gold content were discussed in chapter three. It is shown that particle size not only directly affects phase separation and gold content analysis, but also is closely related to gold mineral extraction process and cost.Various grind methods combined with particle size were discussed to confirm their effects on gold content analysis. It is shown that we can minimize the effects of particle size under national standard range if particle size can be controlled under 200 meshes, which is in favor of phase separation and ICP-MS test.Chapter four, selective resolution and separation of various phase of gold ore were discussed.Aiming to confirm the occurrence state of gold, selective resolution of various phases should be done in accordance with special ore for the effective separation.Amalgamation duration, leaching concentration, shaking duration and calcined temperature of gold content determination were studied. It is indicated that more than 3 hour amalgamation,7.5g/100 ML,1 hour shaking duration, calcined temperature of 500?,20 ml HF solution and aqua regia post-treatment,dilute were the best process, which is convenient to ICP-MS test.Chapter five, application of ICP-MS on phase analysis of gold ore was also discussed here.Typical altered rock and quartz type gold ore were analyzed using ICP-MS,combined with selective dissolution, where effects of selective dissolution solvents on ICP-MS were minimized.A method based on ICP-MS was established to analyze gold ore,of which quickness, sensitivity, detection limit, accuracy were merits.A further verification between gold ore test and atomic absorption method was done, which confirmed the feasibility of this method and was beneficial to the formation of national standard about the application of ICP-MS on gold mineral analysis.
