The recently discovered Changtu Xili manganese,silver,lead and zinc polymetallic ore deposit in Inner Mongolia is located in the Yanshanian polymetallic metallogenic belt in the central and southern part of the Greater Xing'an Mountains.The predecessors have conducted in-depth studies on manganese ore in petrology and ore deposits,but the mineralogical characteristics of manganese minerals and the occurrence of associated elements in the Changtu Xili-manganese-silver-lead-zinc polymetallic ore deposit in Inner Mongolia appear Relatively weak.The manganese ore in the study area can be divided into oxidized ore and primary ore according to the degree of oxidation.The manganese oxide ore is selected as the research object by optical microscopy,X-ray powder diffraction analysis,scanning electron microscopy,energy spectrum analysis and other technical means.Manganese minerals are studied in mineralogy to identify the state of zinc.The genetic type of the manganese deposit in the Changtu-Xili polymetallic ore deposit in Inner Mongolia is a continental volcanic rock type(upset low-temperature hydrothermal type),the manganese ore is dark gray,and the weathering is serious;the manganese mineral composition is complex,the crystal is fine,and the degree of crystallization is poor.And most of the manganese oxide minerals have associated enrichment of trace elements.Studies have shown that manganese minerals are mainly cryptomelane,coronadite,rancieite and akhtenskite.Among them,the crystallization of cryptomelane is relatively good and the content is the most;the crystallization of cryptomelane,rancieite and akhtenskite are poor,and the content of coronadite and rancieite are second;the content of akhtenskite is the least.The coexistence of these manganese minerals is widespread.cryptomelane-coronadite is distributed in a network.coronadite and akhtenskite are concentrically distributed.cryptomelane and rancieite are distributed in a ring-like shape..In addition to manganese minerals,it also contains a small amount of minerals such as bastnasite,hematite,and rutile.According to the study on the occurrence of zinc,coronadite,akhtenskit and cryptomelane with better crystallinity are purer and contains no Zn element,whilerancieite contains more Zn and is evenly distributed.Combining the research results of predecessors and using statistical methods,it is preliminarily concluded that Zn mainly replaces the position of Mn in the form of isomorphism.In addition,the cryptomelane does not contain Zn,but there may be some zinc-containing independent minerals,which are encapsulated in manganese ore in the form of veins and microencapsulats.By studying the species,composition and symbiotic association of manganese minerals,this paper is helpful to further enrich the mineralogical characteristics of manganese minerals,to further search for manganese ore bodies and other mineral resources,and to fully promote the mineral prospect survey in changtu xili area.At the same time,studying the occurrence of zinc and understanding the enrichment mechanism of zinc is beneficial to the mineral processing of zinc in order to make rational use of mineral resources.
