Seismic data still plays a crucial role in the exploration and development of oil,gas and mineral resources.The observed data with high SNR and high resolution not only facilitates the processing of the early stage,but also helps subsequent structural and lithological interpretation,reservoir prediction and simulation,and well network arrangement.Up to date,seismic data processing has been automatic with the advanced processing software.But in the seismic interpretation work,there are often different results for the same exploration area because every interpreter has his or her work experience and operation habits.And there is not a united assessing criterion,so the reasonable and reliable interpretation results mainly depend on the workers' long-time experience and familiarity for the exploration area.Hence,unlike seismic processing,it is difficult for seismic interpretation to be automatic,which always needs manual work.As the technology of post-stack seismic attributes develops,complex manual interpretation work has been relieved gradually.For example,3D coherence volume technology makes the interpretation of complex faults and river sand more easily than before,3D curvature attributes make the recognition of small-scale folds and bends more simples and amplitude attributes improve the discovery rate of the lithological reservoir.Although these attributes don't replace manual works of interpreters completely,they could provide plenty of help and guidance,making seismic interpretation convenient.In the seismic interpretation work,structural interpretation including layer interpretation,fault interpretation and special geological body identification occupy most of the manual operation.So in order to improve its efficiency,we should develop fast and accurate seismic geometric attribute technologies.Focusing on 3D coherence volume and 3D curvature attributes,we study on the seismic geometric attribute systematically and deeply in this paper.According to the relationship of local tau-p transformation and coherence calculation,we develop a high-efficiency and high-resolution curvature attributes computation method.Model and field data test results show that: our method not only can identify the folds and bends accurately,but also precisely define the small-scale faults and river channels.In addition,because we adopt parallel single-trace input and calculation strategy,the computational efficiency can be improved an order of magnitude at least.In order to use multiple seismic attributes for combined interpretation,we have done a lot of research about curvelet transformation and image fusion and proposed a multi-resolution attribute fusion method.Several field data processing tests the validity and practicability of our method.
