The electro-optic effect and temperature characteristics of the nematic liquid crystal as the elementary medium or defects material added in the Ladder-type Double-period photonic crystals,by changing external factors to achieve tunable of the localized modes of ladder-type double-period photonic crystal with nematic liquid crystal.In this paper,the regulation characteristics of localized modes of ladder-type double-period photonic crystal with nematic liquid crystal is theoretical calculation by transfer matrix method.First,the control characteristics of one-dimensional Ladder-type Double-period fourth generation quasi-periodic structures localized modes with nematic liquid crystal is studied.The physical model of one-dimensional Ladder-type Double-period fourth generation quasi-periodic structures localized modes with nematic liquid crystal is built,the electric field direction and external temperature characteristics of this structures localized modes was theory studied.The results show: The wavelength ? of the localized modes shift to the short-wave direction and the effective refractive index of the nematic liquid crystal is gradually reduced with increasing of the angle ? and increased of external temperature;the temperature T was changed into 300K~385K,the variety amount of localized modes wavelength ? are 26.9nm,the max of the light field intensity is 605.3.the angle ? was changed into 0°~90°,the variety amount of localized modes wavelength ? are 42.6nm,the max of the light field intensity is 644.1,the light field intensity of localized modes wavelength ? in the spatial location was increases first and then decreases.Finally,the control characteristics of one-dimensional Ladder-type Double-period fourth generation quasi-periodic structures defect modes defect nematic liquid crystal is studied.The physical model of one-dimensional Ladder-type Double-period fourth generation quasi-periodic structures defect modes with nematic liquid crystal is built,the electric field direction and external temperature characteristics of this structures localized modes is theory studied.The results show:The wavelength ? of the defect modes shift to the short-wave direction and the effective refractive index of the nematic liquid crystal is gradually reduced with increasing of the angle ? and increased of external temperature;the temperature T was changed into 300K~385K,the variety amount of defect modes wavelength ? are 14.8nm,the max of the light field intensity is 349.8.the angle ? was changed into 0°~90°,the variety amount of defect modes wavelength ? are 23.9nm,the max of the light field intensity is 524.0,the light field intensity of defect modes wavelength ?in the spatial location was increases first and then decreases.
