ABS resin is a widely used engineering plastics, which has mechanical properties of tough, hard, rigid equilibrium, good dimensional stability, high surface gloss,resistance to low temperature, has the advantages of good processability.At present,every year there are a large number of ABS plastic scrap, due to ABS is a thermoplastic plastic, these waste ABS resin can be used for processing and utilization,so that not only saves resources, but also protect the environment.By adding modifier made from recycled ABS alloy, the effects of adding modifier, the recovery performance of ABS the results show that the addition of modifier can improve the performance of recycled ABS.First of all is the use of ABSHRP on the recovery of ABS toughening modification, the results show that ABSHRP can improve the notched impact strength of rABS, when ABSHRP was 16 phr, the notched impact strength of the blends increased from 9.4 KJ/m2 to 15.8 KJ/m2, an increase of 68.1%. But the addition of ABSHRP decreased the tensile strength and flexural strength of rABS, so this paper chooses modified glass fiber(MGF), to improve the tensile strength and flexural strength of recycled ABS. The experimental results showed that the addition of MGF can improve the tensile strength and bending strength of rABS, when the content of ABSHRP was 16 phr, MGF was 25 phr, the notched impact strength of the blends of12.6KJ/m2, compared with rABS before modification, an increase of 34.1%. The tensile strength is 49 MPa, compared with rABS before modification, an increase of26.3%. The bending strength was 80.8MPa, compared with rABS before modification,an increase of 21.3%. Scanning electron microscopy SEM display, glass fiber modification can improve the compatibility between ABS and GF.The choice of polycarbonate(PC) on the rABS toughening modification, the rABS and PC blend ratio, using maleic anhydride grafted ABS recovery(rABS-g-MAH) do results show that as the compatibilizer, rABS-g-MAH addition significantly improves the mechanical properties of rABS/PC alloy, when the PCdosage is 40, the dosage of rABS-g-MAH is 5 phr when the notched impact strength of the alloys reached the maximum value of 20.3KJ/m2, compared with the unmodified rABS, an increase of 116%, the tensile strength of the rABS/PC alloy, the bending strength is increased to a certain extent. Scanning electron microscopy SEM display, the addition of rABS-g-MAH increases the compatibility between rABS and PC.The use of TPU and mTPU, on the rABS toughening modification, results show that the toughening effect of mTPU is better than that of TPU, when the mTPU dosage is 15, the dosage of DCP was 0.5 phr, the notched impact strength of rABS/mTPU alloy is 22.2KJ/m2, compared with the unmodified rABS, increased by136.2%, the tensile strength is 40.5MPa, compared with the unmodified rABS increased by 4.4%, the bending strength is 64.6MPa, compared with the unmodified rABS decreased 3%, the melt index of 30.4g/10 min, compared with the unmodified rABS increased by 47.6%.
